Today I celebrate one year since I began to practice yoga...I have dabbled with it throughout the years (who couldn't make it through the 60's without doing yoga!) But now I practice at a studio 4-5 times a week... A year ago, my health was failing..I had chronic sinus problems, uncontrollable allergies, body aches and a general feeling of unhappiness, unfullfillment and a host of other problems both physical and mental..
I KNEW SOMETHING HAD TO BE DONE...So I signed up for 3 months of unlimited yoga and dragged my weary body and blocked up nose to start my practice... the effects came slow but they did come.. and now a year later..I breathe much more clearly, allergies almost non existent... the benefits have been remarkable in so many ways..
One thing leads to another.......One unlocked door opens another............. om shanti....namaste

Congrats on your yogaversary! Speaking of East Indian things, have you ever tried using a Neti pot for your sinuses? Some people swear by them for clearing up sinus and allergy problems. Even Oprah featured Neti pots once on her show!
I feel the same about Pilates, have been doing it weekly for 6 years now. Back pain is a thing of the past which crippled me before regularly as the discs played up.
HI,

That is how I feel about walking everyday!!
That's great!!
Visit again soon,

Good for you darling, I so want to start yoga, but it seems there is not enough hours in the day to start it. You inspired me so may be soon.

Hi again,
I live in Thousand Oaks. Close enough to Ventura!
By the way, you being a music person, my husband collects guitars.
Have a nice night,

I love yoga! but haven't been at all this year.. I think I must make an effort now though.. I have to start relaxing alot more..
thanks tons for your constant support and comments xo
I did yoga for a few months about a million years ago. Right now my life is so crazy busy, it's probably time to start fitting that in again. Thanks for the reminder and good job sticking with it.
Hi Cynthia, of course you will get published! Anyone can if I can! You will know when the time is right. Congratulations on your one year anniversary of yoga, I celebrate that accomplishment with you. Thanks again for stopping by. Take care, Riki
I Love yoga too...it just makes me feel good. I feel taller and straighter and it does wonders for the rest of my body. I never wanted to try it even with my daughter nagging me but I'm so glad I did. I went steady for 2 years..then we moved and I've just started again last week. Other than being a bit stiff in places...it feels GREAT! Enjoy your downward facing dogs and Namaste to you too...Maura
