Always a bitter sweet time these anniversarys. Our happy memories tinged with the pain of our loss. My Dad's death was in October and my Mum's in November. So I'm with you from over the sea xx
Dear Cynthia, We have a lot in common....my Dad was born in 1917 and was a pilot in the RAF. We had him with us longer than your Poppa, as he only died a couple of years ago. I shall be thinking of you this week. XXXX
Happy Birthday to your Dad Cynthia. My Mom's is coming up in January...she's been gone since 1983. Yes...it's bittersweet isn't it. I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday my friend. Maura :)
PS. I think your jewelry is fabulous... it's not necessary to spend lots of dough. Spending more only gets you into trouble and debt (I speak for myself anyway)! : )
I missed this one Cynthia, try to stay away from the computer on the weekends and you popped into my head this morning and I thought "what's she been up to" - glad I checked. Hope the days was more about happy memories than sadness.

Born at the end of one World War, sounds like your Dad served with distinction in the next one.

There is nothing more special than the relationship between a little girl and her Dad.
