Working on some new things and they are coming fast and furious...
a pair a day and that is very good for me.
Pantone color of the year Emerald Green |
I do get trapped into a rut I can’t get out of sometimes and my brain
freezes and I get overwhelmed...this week however I felt a real shift...
something happened. For one thing I am a lot more confident in my abilities...
I’m making things longer and bigger...more of a statement. I wore a pair of these
danglers out the other night and was amazed at how cool I felt...they
make such a statement that black turtleneck and jeans and my winter
cardigan looked new and modern...the swing and boldness of the
earrings made me feel with it and pretty.
My biggest thing seems to be that I start to think if i buy more
supplies that I’ll get more ideas...now this is true in many ways
but a better approach seems to be the old use what you got...
so I started to dig deep in my piles and found some pretty neat
stuff I forgot about
It’s bloody freezing here...well for California standards...
like in the 50s at night...I know...I know... the rest of you
are probably saying oh geez but for us thin skins its cold...
So I’m bundled up at my work bench and taking advantage
of this spell of productivity while it’s happening...
jammies barely come off as I get to work in the early morning
and keep at it....my hands are hurting like hell but I just
do an Aleve and put on my hand braces and keep calm
and carry on.
ohh..i love these...making a pair to keeps.
And the ever popular bangle stacks using a bit of over-dyed
crochet sent to me by one of youse guys in our frantic
“Traveling Box” exchange days of yore.
keep warm...happy winter..bh

Lovely work! I particularly like the top pair.
Yes, I did laugh as it is set to reach -2 C here tonight :-D
ha! 50's! Vegas is low to mid 20's at night YIKES!
You go girl! wonderful; pieces <3
Sheeeehya, I know what you mean. It was the same temp here in Bisbee as it was in Delta Junction, AK yesterday in the morning. My lil' studio is kind of cold. Right about the time it's set to warm up here we're off to Maine to another icebox and here I thought we had this sun-seeking retirement thing all figgered out!
Ah yes, the hands... the cold certainly doesn't help much does it.
some fine new dee-zines... glad to know you're keeping at it. I finally have my space back after a month of visitors. I got my son to saw up some of them worm tubes for me...kind of cool!
I can totally relate to that more supplies and more inspiration concept but you're right, it's kind of like Dorothy discovering it's all right here in front of you.
I'm another California resident (not native, but still) and up in the redwoods - it's COLD. About 27 at night.
I LOVE that last pair of earrings! You're making more than one pair? Hmmm.!
xoxo Juliette
They're beautiful. Such a talent!
It does look like you are having fun.
Rediscovering buried supply treasure is always nice.
Painful hands in the cold I can relate to. Fingerless gloves help sometimes.
that first pair of earrings is just exquisite. Enjoyed your insight into supplies and inspiration. Yup! You hit the nail on the head!
The first pair of earrings is gorgeous...and I also love the fourth pair. In fact, I think I'll copy that 4th pair. :D
I just don't know how you do that beautiful wire work with such heavy wire. I try it and mine looks awful. However, I'm not giving up.
Well 50 too cold for you....REALLY...lol! It's a roasting minus 5 here. Gotta snow warnings too. Love those dark earrings, my kind of gothic.
Beautiful earrings!!! I've been trying to use up what beads I have before buying more, but sometimes I just have to buy beads.
Love the earrings - super cool indeed!! I know what you mean w/the cold snap - it's freezing here in AZ, too and my bloods too thin to take it well! I should put some pics of the frozen water fountain in our back yard up on the blog - it was an interesting and icy piece of inspiration!
I envy anyone who can wear long dangly earrings. I have a short little Irish neck that simply won't allow it. Curse you, DNA!
fabulous.....in NY it was so cold in the winter I could only wear studs anything dangly would freeze in my ear!!
You are one talented lady!
I know! It's COLD here. Even though it's warming up during the day, I'm freezing at night. Brrr.
Your creativity seems endless. Love all the pieces you've been working on and glad you're going to keep a little for yourself too.

Great earrings~Glad you're productive and feeling confident. You've got it, girl. :-) Hope the hands ease up. LOVE "keep calm and carry on". Just sent another how to article to BAJ....we'll see if they accept or not. :-) Have a terrific rest of the week!
I love your spell of creativity!!! and I envy you ;-)
Keep going on the flow!
I LOVE these big ones---especially that very first one.....they are all very beautiful but something about that first one really speaks to me! BRAVA, my dear----you are really cooking!
Cynthia,
This is a hard winter. I tried to paint on my Sun porch, just too cold.
Nothing is stopping you - so creative... Go Girl!!!
Keep in mind a resume is just part of the puzzle. It should always a wise idea to keep it up-to-date and eye-catching.
play bazaar The resume alone will not decide your eligibility for the intended position. Employers are seeking confident and dedicated people that can help their positions. Consider your different strengths and highlight them.satta king
