Best time of year in the garden...
lush cool green
best time of year period. My amazing vine...now about
20 feet high...I trim and prune this bush a lot to shape it into
a tall lush screen...I mean cans and cans and more cans filled to
the brim with branches...she would cover our garden if I let her
and jump over to the neighbors too...but I reel in her wildness
with a harsh pruning and tame her rampant ways
My pink brugmansia....tall gangly crazy grower...
gotta keep an eye on her cause she’ll control and take over everything!!
poisonous too... that doesn’t shock me... how she lures with those amazing scented trumpets
siren song.
Brugmansia is a genus of seven species of flowering plants in the family Solanaceae. Their large, fragrant flowers give them their common name of angel's trumpets, a name sometimes used for the closely related genus Datura. Brugmansia are woody trees or shrubs, with pendulous, not erect, flowers, that have no spines on their fruit. Datura species are herbaceous bushes with erect (not pendulous) flowers, and most have spines on their fruit.[2]
NOT MY HOUSE
..but wouldn’t it be nice if it was...or better
than that...be able to housesit there for a couple of months.
Beautiful day here which I now plan on enjoying...
the sun...the heat...the reason for living here.

Somehow, February is not as wonderful in my garden. Probably has something to do with the two feet of snow, LOL!
Just got rid of our snow, now left with mud! Still it's nice to dream and I'm hoping my passion flower has survived the snow.
Your garden must look so beautiful .....such lovely plants. we can't imagine flowers and colour in the garden yet as we are in the depths of winter.
February is a favourite month for me because, as you know, it's my birthday today !!!!!
Many thanks for your kind birthday wishes today Cynthia ........ there was a LOT of soft focus going on !!!!
Have a lovely weekend. XXXX

i used to have one of those trumpet flowers...but it died :( so sad
Oh you happy girl! February is the worst here, so much rain!!!
I use to live by a bottlebrush tree like that.. that isn't their proper name just what I called it as a child. How lovely to see your sunshine and flowers, a welcome burst of color and light.
awwww such lovely flowers. a little blog getaway. thank you!
BEAUTIFUL pictures of some truly exquisite flowers...Is that first one a Bottle Brush tree? (I don't know the correct name)...I had quite a few of them all around my house and underneath, too, when I first moved here in 1964....I had never seen them, OR The trumpet flowers either, till I moved to Los Angeles, in 1961---in fact February 1st was the Anniversary of my moving here....! I LOVE your love of this amazing paradise that we live in...!
so so pretty....London is freezing!!
The first time I saw both of those flowers was when visiting our son out there. Yours are gorgeous...I just love the trumpet ones!
So much beautiful color- a little bit of rain here has stopped things looking too parched and yellow. Not having to mow the grass so much is a plus though.
love the beautiful flowers.
I have cabin fever. Got out today the snow missed us. It's coming tomorrow. Lucky you.. yvonne
