PARDON MY DUST...

I’ve been away from blogging for awhile...I am sorry for my slackness but my hoarding
instinct  has taken over and its time to tackle it, face it head on and deal with it.   This 1928
Spanish Style house needs some TLC and I have taken advantage of the beautiful weather:
cloudy , cool mornings  and breezy, sunny afternoons to sort, fold, wash, sort again , toss and bag up
for the thrift store all of my piles and things I no longer wear or need or want.

I like things neat and tidy but boy things have gotten out of hand.

Underneath it all is a layer or two of dirt...

I have to dust my little vignettes...

Stuff needs repairing...

and my workroom is filled with estate sale finds that
need fixing, cleaning, rewiring, repainting...

So I can get it into here...
and turn it into cash .

I am taking a little time
to get my priorities straight, and try to get things back in order.

cause  I know its going to get really hot...and then I can’t do anything..

Hope this summer has been wonderful for you all
and its been filled with juicy summer pleasures,
cool lakes..
warm balmy nights,
  and the self indulgent delights
that only summer can bring...

PEACHES!!

Must be something in the air. I've been purging away over here. My office looks like a hurricane hit it! I think it's because it's so hot outside - I only want to stay in and the clutter drives me nuts. Also, I feel like I need to be ready for something, kind of like a nesting thing. Your dust is pardoned and we await your return!

Feels good to clear out clutter, doesn't it?

I know the feeling! I really need to clean this office/craft room...there hasn't been much crafting in here since I started blogging but who feels like doing anything when there's clutter on the work table! My fault...I'm the one who put the stuff there so I need to get at it. Leaving for Canada soon so it would be nice to come home to a clean work space. I hope you get everything done that you're wanting to and I hope your good weather holds out for you. Have a wonderful Wednesday....Maura :)

Cynthia, what a beautiful house, the windows, OMG, these windows. Would clean them everyday - or so I like to think!
Must be in the air. I started to sort out the things I take to Tampa, and the boxes fill up quickly...
You know whatever time you need and take, we will be here,,, waiting for you. Love across the pond

Ooh, I adore your home!
That William Morris print on your workroom windows also hangs in The Songwriter's studio! One of my favourites!
And, what a great fireplace.

Enjoy this summer Sunday!

Your house reminds me of mine....but you have a MUCH more darling fireplace than I do...you must have been doing some serious cleaning, everything looks so nice and neat.

Thanks for stopping by ...I am hoping that "person" gets tired of posting on my blog..seeing that I can't block them.

I just read some of your life story..you write SO beautifully...you should really, really write a book...if you have not already.
You are wonderful at expressing yourself.

And then you could make up fictional characters and you would make a million dollars and you could thank me for encouraging you..and you could have me over for a visit in your mansion and I could swim in your pool and we could go antiqing.................of what joy.
OK...maybe I have gotten a bit carried away..but TRULY..you are an excellent writer. I am glad you came back and decided to start posting again.

Sincerely,
Rose

You do have a beautiful home. Beautiful windows, beautiful fireplace.

I too hope to tame my hoarding instinct one day. Little by little. Sometimes, too little.

I agree, your house is divine and so California, I absolutely love it. And I know what you mean about cleaning out and organizing. I feel the same, and yet I tell myself the hot weather will be gone soon and there will be more time for indoors when winter is here!!

Hope you are having a lovely summer, and that you've managed to tame your clutter since you posted this. :)

Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I haven´t had the time to update my blog regularly lately, but soon the summer season is over and then I´ll write every week again.

Your blog is really great, too.

Thanks again for following, take care,
