1950s Christmas Tree Ornaments.

I found these ornaments at an estate sale.

Do you remember these from back in the day?

These were in a box, unopened, unsed...
Memories from the 1950s !
My family didn’t have these but I knew a few people
who did.  I don’t think I’ve seen them since then.

and oh boy...I’m selling them in my Etsy shop...
(also in my space at the Wertz Brothers Antique Market)

You know, I don't remember them....In fact, I have never seen Ornaments like these before....Could they be from an earlier era? They are very pretty and very different, too...!

Hi Cynthia,
Well, they take me back to my childhood. We had lots of those type of Christmas decorations. When my dad died, I found a box of crackers that must have been from the late 50's, as good as new. When all of the family are together, we are going to pull them. You don't have crackers in the US do you ? I think that they are a British thing but, my sisters American friend says they are becoming popular over there now.
Hope you are enjoying the build up to the Christmas holidays. XXXX

I had two similar ones that I bought in 1975 as a university student. They were cheap and all I could afford for my entire Xmas decorating!

Yes, I remember them, my grandma had those decorations on her Christmas tree. I love estate sales and garage sales -called yard sales over there I gather. A creative person's dream some of them, others a huge disappointment - I often find little pieces for inspiration, and if one comes across the estate sale of an eccentric oldie - bliss! It's that extra special find that keeps feeding the addiction, though husband and many of my friends can't understand the attraction at all!
Congrats on your find.
