What a waste and a tragedy it was Cynthia. I always wonder what wonderful music we have missed because he was taken away so young. I'm sure that there was so much more to have come from him. A lovely post of remembrance for John. XXXX
Isn't it now 30 years?? Or am I all screwed up on time...Wasn't it 1981. Hard to believe. I remember how deeply shocking that was and, really, still is....! A senseless senseless loss.
I remember, the guy that had stalked him had read "Catcher in the Rye", besides being nuts, he thought he was a character in the book. It's a scary thing there are so many Crazy's out there. Better note, be well and Happy Holidays Darling Lady. yvonne

Sorry...It was 1980....! And that is 31 years ago....Good Lord! It doesn't seem possible.
So sad to have lost such a talent in a such a senseless way. I appreciate his music much more now than I did back then.
Sorely miss his influence. Wonder what he'd think of Obama?
