I got a new table and chairs so now I can
work outside.
This makes just a swell spot to work in when our
house gets to be 100 degrees inside. And to think
we used to park our car here. Now it’s a whole new room.
I move the beads I’m using and all my tools, wire and
stuff out there. My mandrel and hammers are all set up as well.
So here is what I’ve been working on since 7 this morning.
They remind me of a crown of thorns... These are a lot
of work for me...just kills my hands...but when I look at
them now well gee whiz I just love em.
I wanted to use up all these tiny beads that I have...The holes
are so small so you can’t just bangle em up you have to weave
them in there. It’s like sewing with wire. I had these tiny
laboradite beads sitting around so I did some of these bangles
and experimented and tried new some techniques...fun.
It’s sort of mindless, like knitting or crocheting.
Here is my famous" hammer as arm shot".
Spending the same amount of time trying to get some decent
pics of them.

Hello Cynthia:
This really does look to be an idyllic place to work or, even better still, to sit and relax away from that very punishing heat.
As always we are filled with admiration at your work which really does demonstrate huge creativity and enormous talent.
What a great place to work! Around here the wind blows nearly non-stop so there's no outside work for me.
Your bangles are just gorgesou! I love the pretty sparkling beads!
Lovely -- but so much work!
Wow, nice place to work!!
And those bangles are great - and I like the use of the hammer as a display!
Oooh lovely! Enjoy the great outdoors! Looks so wonderful. Love the bracelets too. So pretty.
You have created a pretty outdoor studio, and I like your bracelets and bead creations.
These are soooo Very Very Beautiful, my dear. All the work is worth it---Truly! Because the results of your creativity---well, it is just WONDERFUL and so very Unique!
These came out great. I could see how they would kill your hands though... to make, not to wear!
Hope you're getting some breezes, we finally got some sunny 70's here today. I think I'm on pre-vacation now. Hard to say if I'll get anything else done before I leave next week.
I'd say your photos are pretty good too!
xo
Oooh I love those sparkly wrapped bangles. Very nice! Now why didn't I think of using a hammer for an arm? That is swell. Great looking work as always.
I can just imagine how much work they were and how must your poor hands must ache but they sure are pretty :)
I cannot even go outside, don't know how you can. I'm not sure I'll be leaving the house before October.
The photos are great. You are so talented, and dedicated with the wire, and the bangles look great! Hope you can get some cool breezes outside. It can be difficult working and creating in the heat - as I say, dedicated.
Love your peaceful
retreat and your work
truly reflects the spirit
of the place in which
in what created!!
Hope your sweet Princess
is still doing well. Oh
how we love these creatures!!
Happy Thursday,
xo Suzanne
That table outside is perfect and such a relief for the heat of the house. YEAH.
Love your bangles. Your work is gorgeous.

love your new studio space! i cart my stuff outside when i can also. being outdoors enhances my creativity.
What a lovely place to sit and make those gorgeous bracelets Cynthia ...... and even better now that you've got a new table and chairs !
........ am so excited about the Olympics and the Opening Ceremony tonight. I have already shed a tear at the sneak preview that we've had ..... cried buckets over the compilation of the torch relay last night and got quite emotional this morning when the Royal boat ' The Gloriana ' went up the Thames to the Tower of london with the flame, which will stay there until tonight.
By 7.00 p.m we will be sitting down in front of the television for the build up to 9.00 p.m. when the ceremony starts. We shall have alongside us wine, food and a big box of tissues !! It's supposed to be spectacular, spine-tingling, quirky, dark and very British. XXXX
I'll be joining Jacqueline, we've got snack and booze ready! Love your bangles, but don't see it as mindless, see it as Zen- mediatation, you can chill and make cool stuff at the same time!
Your patio looks so inviting...very serene. And the bracelets rock solid!
Cynthia, your work becomes more compelling each time I have a chance to look. The use of the naja shape seems to touch something personal and resonating.
You go girl!
sooooo cute! love them. love the outdoor studio, love the glowing flash of the tiny labradorites.
Oh, I vaguely remember outside. Love the bangles.
What an awesome spot to work in! I love the 'chaos wrapping' (my word for it,..not sure what it's really called). I do this on some of my pieces and you're right, it can be hard on the hands/wrist/elbow,..not to mention fingers!! These are super and I hope you enjoy your beautiful outdoor space!!
Love the dragon flys. I too work early AM. It's cooler and I am better in the Mornings.
100 degrees, Gosh I would collapse.
My Daughter Renee is in Florida.
She said at 6 am it is 80 degrees. At least we have 57-65 her in main till 9:30 AM. Nights are cold.
Georgeous work,
yvonne
Fantastic! love the beads you used!
